FAQ
You've got questions, we've got answers!
Do you have glueable matte film?
Yes. The scruff-resistant and scuff-proof films we carry accept animal- and synthetic-based glues.
How do I stop my sheets from finger printing?
Anytime you print a dark ink with heavy coverage, finger printing is a concern. To minimize finger printing, laminate using a scuff-resistant, scuff-proof or soft-touch film.
How long does it take to get a die cutting die made?
The vast majority of dies are made within 24 hours from the point of order.
Do you foil stamp?
We do not hot foil stamp, however we do cold emboss.
Can you mount sheets to both sides of e-flute?
Yes – we can dual mount to any fluted material, as well as many other substrates.
If I get you stock, can you make a sample for us?
Absolutely! We can make prototype samples on the stock of your choice.
Do you perfect-bind?
No, we do not. We do, however, bind using double wire-o, single-wire, plastic coil, comb (GBC), eyelets, grommets and screw posts.
Can you UV coat uncoated stock?
This is not recommended because the UV coating will dive into the uncoated surface, penetrating fibers of the paper and neutralizing the gloss content of the coating. Some potential work-arounds include:
- Using a heavily calendered uncoated sheet
- Using other coatings in advance to prepare the surface to accept UV coating
- Laminating the sheets with a matte film and then coating the film, in order to achieve optimal contrast.
Can you number?
No – we do not have that capability at this time.
What type of film can I use to keep my inks from fading?
All films have a certain amount of UV inhibitors in them, but to optimize protection against UV fading, we recommend using Polyester “ZZ” Film.
